"This is a world that has ended. Where nothing is born, and nothing dies. Not even passing time exists."

You awake in an empty, desolate world. It's always daylight, and with the drifting clouds and floating orbs of light, it seems almost like a dream. There is almost nothing in the way of life. Tall, dry grass. A few leafless trees. A handful of strange, sheep-like creatures. It really does seem devoid of life. But perhaps it once did. Among the vast, dry prairie and mountains in the distance, pieces of junk metal are scattered about. As if this world once held civilization. The only proof that someone ever lived here is a small one story house. It's nearly empty, save for a table and a chair in front of a large window.

However, there is someone living there. A young girl with long hazel hair, wearing a simple white dress. You'd think she was a ghost at first, but she is very much real. Very much alive. She looks at you curiously, before speaking.

"Who are you? Why are you here?"

You might have been looking for the answers to those questions yourself. Do you remember who you are? You know you don't know why you're here. Or how you got here.

"Do you believe in miracles?"

Notes:
-Loosely based on the Illusionary World from CLANNAD. (Consider it a sort of AU where Ushio never went home, and never met her robot friend. trying to keep this spoiler free. Need to expand upon the description of the world.)

-Only two NPCs to start. Ushio, the embodiment of happiness and miracles. Amaya, the embodiment of sorrow and emptiness. (Amaya will not actually appear until later. I might add more NPCs eventually, but I dunno yet.)

-Possible memory loss. Up to player. (For that added mysterious feel. You can always wish for them back in the future, if you really want to remember. But you might not get them all back at once.)

-Orbs of light. Collect enough to make a wish. (Need limits on how many/how orbs are collected. Possibly by interacting with other characters and making them happy and/or working together)

-Orbs of shadow. Collect enough to erase something. The thing about these is that players don't get to choose how they're used. Amaya does. (Much harder to obtain. Whereas the orbs of light represent happiness, these represent despair. Obtained by causing great despair, or being the victim of such.)

-There are no character deaths. You can fight and injure each other, but a blow that would otherwise be lethal causes the receiving character to vanish and reappear back at Ushio's house good as new.

-World is changed by character's wishes. But be careful what you wish for. (Almost anything can be asked for! Items from home, animals, more life, buildings, cities, powers, be creative! Things that can't be wished for: character deaths, to go home, to bring other people to this world, god-power. Also, wishes may not turn out as intended. ex: You wish for a city. You get a ruined, uninhabited city.)

-Powers are removed upon entering the World. However, they can be regained. (Thus giving more incentive to try and get orbs. However, godmode powers and reality altering powers cannot be regained.)

-Events. Characters aren't the only ones who can make wishes. Ushio and Amaya can, too. (Maybe a good way to introduce Amaya.) These will probably be temporary for the most part. Except for some possible world changes. Like a lake or something?

-The lack of food/water and lack of need for them. However, as characters may miss the smell/taste of these things, they're something that could be wished for!

Undecided Things:
- Okay, so this is more of a glorified dressing room than a game, but still.

- Apps? Since it's a private game/DR, as long as I know that you know your character, I don't really see the need? But we'll see. I want some input on this.

- Activity Checks? Probably not going to happen, but if you're inactive, you'll probably get a message from me. It may be a private game/DR, but it should still be fairly active! It doesn't need to be all busy busy like some games out there, but I'd rather it not get stagnant.

- Story? I'm still trying to think of some more story elements to incorporate into this. No game can last forever, so I'll eventually need to have an endgame planned out. But that can always wait till later.

-Network? As it currently stands, a network/communication devices wouldn't really fit in the setting, therefore interactions would have to take place in person. However, maybe a way of sending audio messages via thought like telepathy would be possible. I really need input on this. If need be, comm devices could always be something someone wishes for the future.

If you have any input at all, please let me know! It will certainly help!

Locations:
The World
The Illusionary World is pretty much a parallel world to the real world. Or in this case, parallel to all the worlds. Ushio's wish to no longer be alone connected all the worlds to this one, and is the cause for characters being dragged in.

The Illusionary World is empty, desolate, and almost dreamlike at first. There doesn't appear to be any sort of civilization, save for a small one-story wooden house. There's a single, but quite large window allowing you to see inside. Well, there really isn't much to see besides a small table and a solitary chair. Even if you venture inside the house, there are only two or three other rooms, but they're windowless, and empty.

Outside the house consists of a vast prairie that extends way off into the distance, where a range of snow-capped mountains can be seen. The grass is a golden color, and upon closer inspection, isn't dead. Apparently that's its natural color. Amongst the grass, there are pieces of junk metal scattered about, as if the world had once had some sort of civilization. There's a significant amount of metal scattered across the world, but not enough to prove that there had been a city or anything. Gears, small metal plates, bolts, and other scrap pieces of all shapes and sizes can be found.

If you do somehow manage to reach the mountains, they seem to go on forever. There's really nothing special about the mountains, except for a few scraggly, dead trees around their bases, and the snow at their peaks. However, you can reach the other side eventually. Which is a prairie that looks much like the one where you arrived. In fact, it is the same prairie.

The sky is the only thing that seems to change. The clouds shift and pass as if the day was continuing on. But the light never changes. Nor do the many small shining lights that continuously seem to rise from the ground and drift into the sky. You can reach for them, but they'll pass right through your hand. Those aren't your lights. These lights signify the happy thoughts of people in your homeworlds.

Light Orbs:
These are what you need to gather in order to make a wish. In all appearances, it just seems to be a golden ball of light that could fit in the palm of your hand. Every time someone reaches a moment of true happiness, one of these is formed. Unlike the lights you generally see in the World, these ones you can touch. Well, sort of. Upon touching it, it will glow slightly brighter, and you'll absorb it.

In order to make a wish, you will need twelve orbs of light. In order to gather these, you need to either achieve a moment of happiness yourself by completing a goal, or aiding someone else in doing so.

Shadow Orbs:
These have the powers to take wishes away. To erase what you've created. Every moment of true despair or unspeakable rage creates one of these. They're a mixture of black and violet in color. Like the orbs of light that are native to the World, they will simply pass through you if you attempt to touch them.

Every six orbs that are created will twist a wish and cause it to go horribly wrong. Every twenty will erase a wish that someone has made. These are not used by player characters, but by Amaya.

Wishes:
Once you've gathered enough orbs of light, you can make a wish come true. However, there are rules to this!

1. The Light orbs will only do exactly what's asked, nothing more, nothing less. In the flashback arc when Misae asks Katsuki to love her forever, he turns back into his original form, which is a cat. Katsuki then follows Misae around in this form. Had Misae known that Katsuki was a cat she probably could have asked that Katsuki love her forever as a human. The need for specificity when wishing also manifests itself when Tomoya asks for Nagisa and Ushio to return to life. The orbs grant his wish, but to do it they bring him all the way back to the time that Nagisa gave birth to Ushio, leaving him with a set of memories of the previous timeline.

2. Wishes are only granted if they're genuinely wanted. Katsuki can't use his wish to get the rain to stop falling on him, because it was not a genuine wish from his heart. The first time that Nagisa died, Tomoya, who had a chance to bring his wife back from the dead, (who has a second chance later on) instead wished that he had never met Nagisa. The wish wasn't granted because it wasn't a genuine desire in Tomoya's heart.

3. You cannot wish for another character's death or injury, or something negative like that. Also, you cannot wish for god powers for fairly obvious reasons. No, you can't wish to go home either. The orbs of light represent happiness. Wishes must represent that in some way. Missing part of yourself, your powers, or maybe that trinket you've had since you're a child? That's fine. Wish there was a beautiful lake? A library filled with books? Some power you've always wanted? Granted. The things you can wish for are nearly limitless.
