D&D Campaign Stuffs
So I'm currently working on a 3.5/Pathfinder campaign set in the Nentir Vale. I'm not entirely sure whether it'll be just my family and I playing this yet, or if I'll try and run it over the Roll20 program (I think that's the name).
It might get complicated over the program, because some of the NPCs will have homebrewed classes and whatnot, but if it's just DW/Plurk friends, maybe not so much. (FYI, you'll probably see a few familiar faces if you've RPed with me.)
I'm thinking 6-8 characters to start the campaign. I'm trying not to limit people's alignment choices, but it'd get kind of hard if half the party was LG and half was CE. I'd also kind of like to leave the setting open to exploration, so there'll be plenty of choices for dungeon crawling and stuff. But if there's a particular area I have something planned for, I'll just have to figure out a way to keep PCs away. I really don't want to railroad a campaign.
Characters will start at 1st level in the town of Fallcrest. (Description of the town is there, but NPCs will very probably differ.)
I'll leave you open to create your own characters, which you can try to fit into the setting yourself, or perhaps they were transported there from another world by an NPC. Heroes are in short supply, so sometimes you just gotta drag some in to help. You can certainly base a character off of another, such as Touhou/Final Fantasy/Fire Emblem/Whatever, but just check with me first to make sure they're not already in the setting as an NPC! I will also allow homebrew stuff, provided it isn't absolutely crazy and there's actually enough info to go off of.
For sources, you can use D&D 3.5, Pathfinder, and maaaybe 4e if you can figure out how to translate that into 3.5! (If you can figure out Dragonborns, I would love you forever). And as stated above, Homebrew stuff is on a case by case basis.
Current Characters:
1.) Skiiv (Ratfolk Alchemist - Plaguebringer, lv1) -Levi-
2.)
3.)
4.)
5.)
6.)
7.)
8.)
Here's a list of some of the NPCs you may encounter throughout the campaign. I won't list names, but some of the titles make it pretty obvious.
- The Violet Wizard
- The Aquatic Inventor
- The Unknown
- The Enlightened
- The Illusionist
- The Starving Mage
- The Witch of the Forest
- The Lord of the Black
- The Undying
- The Moon Princess
- She Who Controls The Sun
- The Ghost Princess
- The Cheerful Mercenary
- The Fabled Swordsman
You can also expect to fight just about everything under the sun! Dragons, undead, goblins, werefolk, a lich, and possibly even a refluffed Tarrasque (you won't be alone in fighting it, don't worry.)
I'm not even sure when I'd be starting this up. Prooooobably January? But I'd love some input if anyone has some. Also, if you'd be interested if I do decide to run this on Roll20, please let me know!
